Vad är på gång hos Erikslund Rugby! (English below)

Den senaste tiden har varit fylld av energi och framsteg inom rugbysektionen! Vi fortsätter att stärka både gemenskapen och strukturen i verksamheten – och resultaten börjar redan märkas. 

Rekrytering och gemenskap 
Tack vare alla engagerade spelare, tränare och föräldrar har vi under den första av två rekryteringsveckor välkomnat över 10 nya ungdomar och 6 herrseniorer till sporten. Ett extra stort tack till er som spridit ordet – och till våra ungdomar som bjudit in kompisar. Som belöning får de snygga ryggsäckar. Detta är en satsning vi absolut kommer att upprepa! 

Nya profilkläder och matchställ 
Som en del av kampanjen har vi tagit fram nya T-shirts som delas ut gratis till våra yngsta spelare och kan köpas av äldre spelare och föräldrar. Herrlaget har dessutom testat en ny leverantör av matchställ – med mycket lovande resultat. Ett varmt tack till våra sponsorer Brasserie le Gallopin och Wirströms som gör detta möjligt! Nästa steg blir att se över matchställ och material för övriga lag. Rugbykommittén tar gärna emot tips på nya sponsorer och samarbetspartners. 

Nya lokaler vid TRC 
Arbetet med våra nya omklädningsrum och lokaler vid TRC har äntligen dragit igång! Prognosen är att anläggningen står klar i juni 2026. Stort tack till alla som bidragit i dialogen med kommunen, hjälpt till med rensning av förråd och organisering av vår temporära förvaringscontainer. 

Kommande matcher och evenemang 
Vi ser fram emot vår egen ungdomsfestival på TRC den 13 september samt USM i Vänersborg 20–21 september. Två fantastiska tillfällen att visa upp klubbandan och skapa minnen för livet. Herrseniorerna är dessutom på god väg mot en andraplats i Allsvenskan Norra, och hela tre av våra P18 spelare har representerat Sverige internationellt. Våra grabbar i P16 kör seriespel tillsammans med ett kombinerat mälardalslag tillsammans med Hammarby, Uppsala och Trojan och P18 spelar som Hammarlund tillsammans med Hammarby. Det är fint att se att samarbetet mellan klubbarna leder till att vi kan få till 15-mannaspel!  

Strategiarbete till hösten 
I höst startar vi ett arbete med att ta fram en långsiktig strategi på klubbnivå. Resultatet kommer att ligga till grund för kommande strategier, verksamhetsplaner och budgetar för rugbysektionen. The past weeks have been full of energy and progress in the rugby section! We continue to strengthen both the sense of community and the structure of our activities – and the results are already starting to show. 

Recruitment and Community 
Thanks to all our dedicated players, coaches, and parents, we have, during the first of two recruitment weeks, welcomed over 10 new youth players and 6 senior men to the sport. A special thanks goes out to everyone who helped spread the word – and to our youth players who invited their friends. As a reward, they receive stylish backpacks. This is definitely a campaign we will repeat! 

New Gear and Kits 
As part of the campaign, we have designed new T-shirts that are given out free to our youngest players and available for purchase by older players and parents. The men’s team has also tested a new supplier of match kits – with very promising results. A big thank you to our sponsors, Brasserie le Gallopin and Wirströms, for making this possible! The next step will be to review kits and equipment for our other teams. The Rugby Committee gladly welcomes suggestions for potential sponsors and partners. 

New Facilities at TRC 
Work on our new changing rooms and facilities at TRC has finally begun! The current forecast is for the facility to be completed by June 2026. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the dialogue with the municipality, helped with clearing out storage, and organized our temporary container. 

Upcoming Matches and Events 
We are looking forward to our very own youth festival at TRC on September 13, as well as the Swedish Youth Championship in Vänersborg, September 20–21. These will be fantastic opportunities to showcase our club spirit and create lifelong memories for our players. The senior men are well on their way to securing second place in Allsvenskan Norra, and three of our U18 players have proudly represented Sweden internationally. Our U16 boys are competing in a league together with a combined Mälar Valley team alongside Hammarby, Uppsala, and Trojan, while our U18 play as Hammarlund together with Hammarby. It’s great to see that collaboration between clubs allows us to field full 15-a-side teams! 

Strategic Work This Autumn 
This autumn, we are launching a process to develop a long-term strategy at the club level. The results will form the foundation for future strategies, activity plans, and budgets for the rugby section.
